قال: يعني الضيقة التي فيها غمص ورمص؛ ومنه قيل للمرأة جخراء إذا لم تكن نظيفة المكان، وروي بالحاء المهملة، وهو مذكور في موضعه؛ وقال الأزهري: هي بالخاء وأنكر الحاء.
He said: meaning the narrow one which has discharge and rheum; and from this, a woman is called jakhra' if she is not clean in her place, and it was narrated with Haa' (ح) which is unpointed, and it is mentioned in its place; Al-Azhari said: it is with Kha' (خ) and he rejected Haa' (ح).
ابن شميل: الجخر في الغنم أن تشرب الماء وليس في بطنها شيء فيتخضخض الماء في بطونها فتراها جخرة خاسفة» ؛
Ibn Shumayl: Al-jokhr in sheep is when they drink water and there is nothing in their bellies, so the water sloshes in their bellies, and you see them as jakhra, sunken.
والذكر إذا خلا بطنه انكسر وذهب نشاطه.
And the male (animal), when its belly is empty, it becomes dejected and its vigor leaves.
والجاخر: الوادي الواسع.
And Al-Jakhir: the wide valley.
وتجخر الحوض إذا تفلق طينه وانفجر ماؤه.
And the basin tajkhara if its mud cracked and its water burst forth.
وهي نفحة تبقى في القندودة إذا لم تنق.
