And it is narrated: 'lam yu'ār bihā'; and whoever narrates it thus, it is from the sun's heat, which is its intensity, so he reversed it, and it is from startling.
وَيُقَالُ: أَوْأَرْتُهُ فَاسْتَأْوَرَ إِذَا نَفَرْتَهُ
And it is said: 'I caused it to flee, and it fled' if you startled it.
آرَ الرَّجُلُ حَلِيلَتَهُ يُؤُورُهَا، وَقَالَ غَيْرُهُ: يَئِيرُهَا أَيْرًا إِذَا جَامَعَهَا
A man 'āra' his wife, he 'u'ūruhā', and others said: he 'ya'īruhā' 'ayran' if he has intercourse with her.
عَدَوِيَّةٌ هَيْهَاتَ مِنْكَ مَحَلُّهَا، ... إِذَا مَا هِيَ احْتَلَّتْ بِقُدْسِ وَآرَةَ
An 'Adawiyyah, far away is its location from you, ... when it settled in the holy place of 'Ārah'.

And it is narrated: in the holy place of 'Uwārah'.
وَأَبْشِرِي أُورَى شَلَمْ بِرَاكِبِ الْحِمَارِ
And rejoice, 'Ūrā shalam', with the rider of the donkey.
وَقَدْ طُفْتُ لِلْمَالِ آفَاقَهُ: ... عُمَّانَ فَحِمْصَ فَأُورَى شَلَمْ
And I have circled its horizons for wealth: ... 'Ammān, then Ḥimṣ, then 'Ūrā shalam'.
وَالْمَشْهُورُ أُورَى شَلَمْ، بِالتَّشْدِيدِ، فَخَفَّفَهُ لِلضَّرُورَةِ، وَهُوَ اسْمُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ
And the famous is 'Ūrā shalam', with emphasis, so he shortened it out of necessity, and it is the name of Jerusalem.
وَمَعْنَاهُ بِالْعِبْرَانِيَّةِ بَيْتُ السَّلَامِ
And its meaning in Hebrew is 'House of Peace'.
وَلَوْ وَقَعَ حَجَرٌ مِنْهَا وَقَعَ عَلَى الصَّخْرَةِ؛ وَلِذَلِكَ دُعِيَتْ أُورُشَلِيمَ وَدُعِيَتِ الْجَنَّةُ دَارَ السَّلَامِ
And if a stone fell from it, it would fall on the Rock; and for that reason it was called 'Ūrushalīm' and Paradise was called the Abode of Peace.
