Al-Layth said: Al-irar is like a tool with which the shepherd treats the uterus of a camel if it is in heat.
وممارنتها أن يضربها الفحل فلا تلقح.
And its being in heat means the male mounts it and it does not conceive.
قال: وتفسير قوله يؤرها الراعي هو أن يدخل يده في رحمها أو يقطع ما هناك ويعالجه.
He said: And the shepherd's treating her means he inserts his hand into her uterus or removes what is there and treats it.
والأر: أن يأخذ الرجل إرارا، وهو غصن من شوك القتاد وغيره، ويفعل به ما ذكرناه.
And al-arr: is when a man takes an irar, which is a thorny branch of qatad and other plants, and does with it what we have mentioned.
والأر: الجماع.
And al-arr: is sexual intercourse.
وفي خطبة علي، كرم الله تعالى وجهه: يفضي كإفضاء الديكة ويؤر بملاقحه ؛ الأر: الجماع.
And in the sermon of Ali, may God ennoble his face: He penetrates like the penetration of roosters and inserts his seed; al-arr is sexual intercourse.

أبو عبيد: أررت المرأة أؤرها أرا إذا نكحتها.
Abu Ubayd: I treated the woman with 'arr, I treat her with 'arr, if I married her.

And a man 'amir: is one who has much sexual intercourse;
قالت بنت الحمارس أو الأغلب: بلت به علابطا مئرا، ضخم الكراديس وأى زبرا
Bint al-Himaris or Al-Aghlab said: I urinated on it, a large, thick-boned one, and he had a large penis.

Abu Ubayd: A man 'amir means much intercourse, derived from al-ayr;
قال الأزهري: أقرأنيه الإيادي عن شمر لأبي عبيد، قال: وهو عندي تصحيف والصواب ميأر، بوزن ميعر، فيكون حينئذ مفعلا من آرها يئيرها أيرا؛ وإن جعلته من الأر قلت: رجل مئر؛ وأنشد أبو بكر بن محمد بن دريد أبيات بنت الحمارس أو الأغلب.
Al-Azhari said: Al-Iyadi narrated it to me from Shamir from Abu Ubayd, he said: And in my opinion, it is a misspelling, and the correct form is 'mi'arr', on the pattern of 'mi'arr', so it would then be 'mifa'al' from 'ara-ha yu'ir-uha 'ayran'; and if you make it from 'al-arr', you say: a man 'amir'; and Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Durayd recited the verses of Bint al-Himaris or Al-Aghlab.

And al-yu'rur: is the swift runner, and it is from this according to Abu Ali.
والأرير: حكاية صوت الماجن عند القمار والغلبة، يقال: أر يأر أريرا.
And al-arir: is the imitation of the sound of revelry during gambling and victory, it is said: arr ya'r ariran.
أبو زيد: ائتر الرجل ائترارا إذا استعجل؛ قال أبو منصور: لا أدري هو بالزاي أم بالراء؛ وقد أر يؤر.
Abu Zayd: A man 'aattara 'ittaran if he hastened; Abu Mansur said: I do not know if it is with a zayn or a ra; and he hastened, he hastens.
الإرة: النار.
Al-irrah: is fire.
وأر سلحه أرا وأر هو نفسه إذا استطلق حتى يموت.
