And it is said: 'I have no muhimmah nor mukadah', meaning 'I do not exert effort nor do I approach'.
لغة بني عدي: كدت أفعل كذا، بضم الكاف
The dialect of Banu Adi: 'Kudtu fa'ala kadha', with a dammah on the kaf.
يقال: لا ولا كيدا لك ولا هما
It is said: 'No, not kaydan to you, nor hamman'.
وبعض العرب يقول: لا أفعل ذلك ولا كودا، بالواو
And some Arabs say: 'I will not do that, nor koodan', with a waw.

أن ناسا من العرب يقولون كيد زيد يفعل كذا وما زيل يفعل كذا؛ يريدون كاد وزال فنقلوا الكسر إلى الكاف كما نقلوا في فعلت
That some Arabs say 'kayda Zayd yaf'alu kadha' and 'ma zayla yaf'alu kadha'; they mean 'kada' and 'zala', and they transferred the kasrah to the kaf as they did in 'fa'alta'.
