May God make you remain (qāʿadak Allāh) is like 'May God give you long life' (ʿammaraka Allāh) in that it stands in the position of masdars that take the place of verbs.

And likewise, 'May God make you remain' (qāʿadak Allāh) means 'I asked God for your preservation', from the saying: 'from the right and from the left, a guard (qadīd)' meaning a preserver.

وقال أبو حنيفة: المقعدان شجر ينبت نبات المقر ولا مرارة له يخرج في وسطه قضيب بطول قامة وفي رأسه مثل ثمرة العرعرة صلبة حمراء يترامى به الصبيان ولا يرعاه شيء
And Abū Ḥanīfah said: Al-Maqʿadān are trees that grow like Al-Muqarr, without bitterness, with a stalk in their middle as tall as a person, and at its head a hard, red fruit like a juniper berry, which children throw around and no animal grazes on.
ورجل مقعد الأنف: وهو الذي في منخره سعة وقصر
And a man with a muqʿad al-anf: meaning he whose nostrils have width and shortness.
والمقعدة: الدوخلة من الخوص
And Al-Maqʿadah: a small basket made of palm leaves.
ورحى قاعدة: يطحن الطاحن بها بالرائد بيده
And a qāʿidah millstone: the miller grinds with it using the hand-operated runner.
وقال النضر: القعد العذرة والطوف
And Al-Naḍr said: Al-Qaʿd is dung and a type of plant.
