وأصله من الفصيد وهو أن يؤخذ مصير فيلقم عرقا مفصودا في يد البعير حتى يمتلئ دما ثم يشوى ويؤكل
And its origin is from 'al-faṣīd', which is when a strap is taken and placed on a cut vein in the camel's leg until it fills with blood, then it is roasted and eaten.
وكان هذا من مآكل العرب في الجاهلية
And this was among the foods of the Arabs in the pre-Islamic era.
فلما نزل تحريم الدم انتهوا عنه
And when the prohibition of blood was revealed, they refrained from it.
