والرغد: الكثير الواسع الذي لا يعييك من مال أو ماء أو عيش أو كلإ.

And abundance: that which is much and wide, which does not tire you, whether it be wealth, water, sustenance, or pasture.

والمرغدة: الروضة.

And the lush meadow: the pasture.

والرغيدة: اللبن الحليب يغلى ثم يذر عليه الدقيق حتى يختلط ويساط فيلعق لعقا.

And the thickened milk dish: milk that is boiled and then flour is sprinkled on it until it mixes and is spread, then licked.

وارغاد اللبن ارغيدادا أي اختلط بعضه ببعض ولم تتم خثورته بعد.

And the milk mixed, mixing, meaning some of it mixed with the other, and its coagulation was not yet complete.

And the uncongealed milk: milk whose coagulation is not yet complete.

ورجل مرغاد: استيقظ، ولم يقض كراه ففيه ثقلة.

And a groggy man: he woke up, and had not fully satisfied his need for sleep, so there was heaviness in him.

والمرغاد: الشاك في رأيه لا يدري كيف يصدره، وكذلك الإرغيداد في كل مختلط.

And the indecisive person: one who is doubtful in his opinion and does not know how to resolve it, and likewise the state of confusion in everything mixed.

والمرغاد: الغضبان المتغير اللون غضبا؛ وقيل: هو الذي لا يجيبك من الغيظ.

And the angry person: the one whose color has changed from anger; and it was said: he is the one who does not answer you out of rage.

والمرغاد: الذي أجهده المرض؛ وقيل: هو إذا رأيت فيه خمصا وفتورا في طرفه وذلك في بدء مرضه.

And the sick person: the one exhausted by illness; and it was said: he is when you see in him emaciation and a languor in his eyes, and that is at the beginning of his illness.

وتقول ارغاد المريض إذا عرفت فيه ضعضعة من هزال؛

And you say the patient is in the initial stage of illness if you recognize in him weakness from emaciation;

وقال النضر: ارغاد الرجل ارغيدادا، فهو مرغاد وهو الذي بدأ به الوجع فأنت ترى فيه خمصا ويبسا وفترة؛

And Al-Nadr said: The man entered the initial stage of illness, entering into it, so he is in that state, and he is the one whom the pain has begun, so you see in him emaciation, dryness, and languor;

وقيل: ارغاد ارغيدادا، وهو المريض الذي لم يجهد والنائم الذي لم يقض كراه، فاستيقظ وفيه ثقلة.

And it was said: he entered the initial stage, entering into it, and he is the patient who is not yet exhausted, and the sleeper who has not fully satisfied his need for sleep, so he woke up with heaviness in him.
