He said: And what is the constricted one? He said: The one overwhelmed by needing to relieve himself or by urine, meaning he is made tight.
وأوجح البيت: ستره
And he covered the tent: he concealed it.
والموجح الكثيف الغليظ، وثوب متين كثيف.
And the dense, thick one, and a strong, dense garment.
وثوب موجح: كثير الغزل كثيف.
And a dense garment: with much thick yarn.
وثوب وجيح وموجح: قوي، وقيل: ضيق متين
And a strong garment and a dense garment: strong, and it is said: tight and strong.
والموجح: الذي يخفي الشيء ويستره، من الوجاح وهو الستر فشبه به ما يجده المحتقن من الامتلاء.
And the concealer: he who hides and covers a thing, from al-wijāḥ which is covering, so what the one holding it feels from fullness is likened to it.
ما بيني وبينه جاح بمعنى وجاح.
There is no covering between me and him, meaning shelter.

And al-wijāḥ is the remainder of a thing, of wealth and other than it; and a clear, wide road.
والموجح: الذي يوجح الشيء ويمسكه ويمنعه من الوجح وهو الملجأ
And the one who holds back: he who holds a thing, keeps it, and prevents it from the refuge, which is the place of refuge.
أتترك أمر القوم فيهم بلابل، ... وتترك غيظا كان في الصدر موجحا؟
Will you leave the affair of the people with them in turmoil, ... and leave anger that was in the chest held back?
والوجح: شبه الغار
And al-wajḥ: like a cave.
بكل أمعز منها غير ذي وجح، ... وكل دارة هجل ذات أوجاح
With every barren goat from it not having a cave, ... and every barren plain having hollows.
والوجاح: الصفا الأملس
And al-wijāḥ: the smooth rock.
كأن متونها فيها الوجاح
As if their backs have smooth rocks on them.
ويقال للماء في أسفل الحوض إذا كان مقدار ما يستره: وجاح
And water at the bottom of a basin, if it is an amount that covers it, is called 'wajāḥ'.
ولقيته أدنى وجاح «2» لأول شيء يرى.
