Every wide plank of wood.
And the shoulder blade, if written upon, is called a lawḥ.
And the lawḥ: that on which one writes.
And the lawḥ: the Preserved Tablet.
In a Preserved Tablet; meaning a repository of the decrees of God Almighty, and it is by way of metaphor.
And We wrote for him on the tablets;
The bones of the body: its bones, excluding the long bones of the hands and feet,
And the milwāḥ: the one with broad bones;
They follow behind a swift, broad-boned camel
And he became thirsty, experiencing thirst.
And thirst affected him and changed him if it altered him.
And camels that are lawḥā, meaning thirsty.
And it is as if this wāw was inverted to a yāʾ in my opinion due to the proximity of the kasrah, as if they imagined a kasrah on the lām of milwāḥ until it was like liwāḥ, so the wāw was inverted to a yāʾ for that reason.
White, broad-boned ones, on a summer day, with no patience... for humiliation, nor dark, nor stout.
His broad bones are his forearms, shins, and upper arms.
And thirst affected him, changing him and making him lean;
And likewise travel, cold, sickness, and grief;
A scorcher of humans
Meaning it burns the skin until it blackens it; it is said: it scorched it and changed its color.
And you scorched the thing with fire: you heated it;
As if its pastern ... and its upper snout, were scorched by fire
It is buffeted in the air by the dust of the dung heaps
And it changed its color, altering its color.
And the milwāḥ: the lean one, and likewise the female;
From every hardship of women, a lean one
And he is the lean one who does not fatten, the fast-thirsty one, and the broad-boned one, and he is also the milwāḥ.
And the lawḥ: a glance like a fleeting look.
And you saw him with your sight a lawḥah: you saw him then he was hidden from you;
And would a glance benefit me if I were to glance at it?
And you looked towards something, gazing, if you looked at a distant fire;
Towards the light of a fire, on a high place burning
Lightning flashed, appearing, flashing, and gleaming, meaning it was glimpsed.
And the lightning flashed: it flickered, so it was malīḥ;
And he flashed the sword and waved it: he made it gleam and moved it.
The star appeared: it became visible.
And it flashed: it lit up, appeared, twinkled, and its light widened;
As if it were a flame, in the hand, held
Suhayl appeared if it became visible, and it flashed if it twinkled;
And it is said: the sword and lightning flash, appearing.
And your matter became clear to me and became evident: it became manifest and clear.
The man appeared, emerging: he stood out and became visible.
And their faces and bellies appeared
He means that they threw their shields and their armor fell, and they scattered, so their vulnerabilities appeared for that reason, and their fighting positions became visible.
Gray hair appeared in his head: it became visible.
And gray hair whitened it: it made it white;
After the gray hairs have whitened you
If gray hair appears on the forelock,
And the signs of gray hair appear in every parting
He waved his garment and waved it,
He took its end with his hand from a distance, then moved it and made it gleam to show it to whom he wished to see it.
And pure white and gleaming, and very white if exaggerated in its description of whiteness,
And something is liyāḥ [liyāḥ]: white;
And from this, the wild bull is called liyāḥ [liyāḥ] because of its whiteness;
It illuminates the night like the gleaming moon
And al-liyāḥ and al-liyāḥ: the wild bull, and that is because of its whiteness.
And al-liyāḥ also: the morning.
And I met him at liyāḥ if I met him in the afternoon and the sun was white,
Uthman tasted, on the day of the charge from Uhud, ... the blow of al-liyāḥ, and perished while he was condemned.
It is from lāḥa yalūḥu liyāḥan if it appeared and became visible.
And al-alwāḥ: weapons, what flashes from them like a sword and a spearhead;
And al-alwāḥ are what flash from weapons, and most often this refers to swords because of their whiteness;
They spend the evening like the shining of weapons, and the morning ... like gazelles, on the morning of the rain
And it was said about the shining of weapons that they are sword scabbards because their sheaths are made of wood, meaning their leanness;
He says: they spend the evening lean and their leanness does not harm them, and they spend the morning like gazelles on the morning of the rain, and that is better for them and faster for their enemy.
And it destroyed him: it ruined him.
And al-lawḥ, with dammah: the air between the sky and the earth;
A bird was shadowing us, ... descending into the air, and nothing escapes.
And it is al-lawḥ and al-lawḥ, and no one else narrated it with fath except him.
And you struck him with the sword, whip, and stick: you struck him with them and hit him.
And he took away my right: he took it away.
And I said a word to him, and he did not show any reaction from it
And he was wary of the thing: he was cautious and fearful;
They are wary of one with a persistent, swift nature, ... girded with a strong constitution.
And he was wary of that matter if he was fearful;
Indeed, Dalīm became fearful of my evening, ... and said: 'Set me down, for I cannot travel.'
Indeed, Dalīm became fearful of my father.
And he relied on the thing: he depended on it.
So he was wary of the oath, meaning he was apprehensive and afraid.
And to take an owl and sew its eye shut, tie a black tuft of wool to its leg, set up a perch for it, and the hunter waits in the blind and flies it hour after hour. When the falcon or hawk sees it, it swoops down on it, and the hunter catches it. So the owl and what follows it is called a milwāḥ.
