— And it is said: it is derived from 'zawḥ', which is strong driving, and likewise 'dhawḥ'. In the Hadith: Whoever fasts one day in the way of God, God will move him away from the Fire seventy autumns; meaning He will distance him from his place and move him away from it. Meaning He will distance him from the Fire by a distance covered in seventy years, because every autumn that passes is a year completed; and from the Hadith of Ali: when he said to Sulayman ibn Surd when he visited him after finishing the Battle of the Camel: You moved away and waited, so how did you see God act? And from the Hadith of Al-Hasan ibn Ali: when he finished Fajr, he would not speak until sunrise, even if he was pushed to speak. And 'al-zaḥzaḥ': a place; he said: He promises good, and he is at 'al-zaḥzaḥ'. It is also possible that 'al-zaḥzaḥ' here is a noun from 'tazaḥzaḥ', meaning distancing and moving away. 'Tazaḥzaḥtu' from the place and 'taḥzaḥzaḥtu' are synonymous.
