سميت راحا لأن صاحبها يرتاح إذا شربها، وذلك مذكور في روح.

والأريحي: السيف، إما أن يكون منسوبا إلى هذا الموضع الذي بالشام، وإما أن يكون لاهتزازه؛

وأريحيا عضبا وذا خصل، ... مخلولق المتن، سابحا نزقا
