والركح: الاعتماد؛ وأنشد الأصمعي: فصادفت أهيف مثل القدح، ... أجرد بالدلو شديد الركح
And the rukḥ: reliance; And Al-Asma'i recited: I met a slender one like a cup, ... a lean one with the bucket, strong in reliance.
والركحة: البقية من الثريد تبقى في الجفنة.

And he ركح to a thing, rukūḥan: he leaned and turned to it; he said: I ركحت to her after I had resolved... upon her, and I moved stealthily at night, victorious.
وأركح إليه: استند إليه.
And to أركح to him: to lean on him.
وأركحت إليه: لجأت إليه؛ يقال: أركحت ظهري إليه أي ألجأت ظهري إليه.
And I أركحت to him: I sought refuge with him; it is said: I أركحت my back to him, meaning I made my back lean on him.
والركوح إلى الشيء: الركون إليه.

وفي حديث عمر قال لعمرو بن العاص: ما أحب أن أجعل لك علة تركح إليها أي ترجع وتلجأ إليها؛ يقال: ركحت إليه وأركحت وارتكحت؛ وأركح إلى غنى، منه على المثل.
And in the hadith of Umar, he said to Amr ibn al-'As: I do not wish to make an excuse for you to تركح to, meaning to return and seek refuge with it; it is said: ركحت to him, and أركحت, and ارتكحت; and أركح to wealth, from which comes the proverb.
والمركاح من الرحال والسروج: الذي يتأخر فيكون مركب الرجل على آخرة الرحل؛ قال: كأن فاه، واللجام شاحي، ... شرجا غبيط سلس مركاح
And the mirkāḥ from saddles and bridles: that which is set back, so the man's riding is on the rear of the saddle; he said: As if its mouth, and the bridle is loose, ... a wide, smooth, receding mirkāḥ.
والركحاء: الأرض الغليظة المرتفعة.
