Al-Azhari said: Arḥ among men is one whose soles of the feet are level so that they all touch the ground, and a woman with flat feet;
ويستحب أن يكون الرجل خميص الأخمصين، وكذلك المرأة.
And it is preferred that a man have arched feet, and likewise a woman.
وبعير أرح: لاصق الخف بالخف، وخف أرح كما يقال: حافر أرح؛

وفي حديث أنس: فأتي بقدح رحراح فوضع فيه أصابعه ؛
And in the Hadith of Anas: a wide and shallow cup was brought and he put his fingers in it;

And a hoof arḥ: open and wide, and the noun from all of that is ar-raḥaḥ and ar-raḥḥah: the snake when it is coiled.
ويقال: رحرحت عنه إذا سترت دونه.
