فبي حلفت لأتيحنهم فتنة تدع الحليم منهم حيران
By Me I swear, I will surely present them with a trial that will leave the intelligent among them bewildered.
وأمر متياح: متاح مقدر
And a prepared matter: available and destined.
وقلب متيح
And a heart that is exposed (to trouble).
ورجل متيح: لا يزال يقع في بلية
And a man who is متيح: he continually falls into a predicament.
ورجل متيح: يعرض في كل شيء ويدخل فيما لا يعنيه
And a man who is متيح: he intrudes into everything and enters into what does not concern him.
والأنثى بالهاء؛ قال الأزهري: وهو تفسير قولهم بالفارسية [أندرونست]
And the feminine is with the 'taa' (ة); Al-Azhari said: This is the interpretation of their saying in Persian [andarunast].
إن لنا لكنه ... مبقة مفنه متيحة معنه
Indeed, we have... a lasting, enduring, exposed, meaningful (boast).
بذبي اليوم، عن حسبي، بمالي، ... وزبونات أشوس تيحان
With my blood today, for my lineage, with my wealth... and proud, pushing (boasts).
ناح في مشيته إذا تمايل
He swayed in his gait if he moved with a swagger.
التيحان والتيحان الطويل
Al-Tihyan and Al-Tihyan (means) the tall.
رجل تيحان يتعرض لكل مكرمة وأمر شديد
A Tihyan man exposes himself to every noble deed and severe matter.
لقد منوا بتيحان ساطي
They have indeed favored us with a powerful Tihyan (person).
فرس تيحان شديد الجري
A Tihyan horse (is) intensely running.
وفرس تياح: جواد
And a Tayyah horse: excellent.
وفرس متيح وتياح وتيحان: يعترض في مشيه نشاطا ويميل على قطريه
And a mutih, tayyah, and tihyan horse: it swerves in its gait with energy and leans to its sides.
وتاح في مشيته
And he swayed in his gait.
المتيح والنفيح والمنفح، بالحاء: الداخل مع القوم ليس شأنه شأنهم
Al-Mutih, Al-Nafih, and Al-Manfah, with the 'haa': one who enters with a people but his condition is not like theirs.
