والبلندح: الفدم الثقيل المنتفخ لا ينهض لخير؛
And the bulandaḥ: the dull, heavy, bloated one who does not rise to do good;
لا تعدليني بامرئ بلندح،
Do not equate me with a bulandaḥ man,
مقصر الهم قريب المسرح،
Limited in ambition, near his grazing area,
إذا أصاب بطنة لم يبرح،
If he finds his belly full, he does not move,
وعدها ربحا، وإن لم يربح
