The shajjah: is one of the head wounds, and they are ten.
These are five wounds for which there is no retaliation nor a prescribed blood-wit, and a discretionary compensation is due.
And the muḍiḥah, which is the one that reaches the bone, and for it there are five camels.

And the munqilah, which is the one from which the bone is moved from one place to another, and for it there are fifteen camels.
And the ma'mūmah, and it is said: the āmma, which is the one between which and the brain only a thin skin remains, and for it is one-third of the blood-wit.

And the shajjah: is a wound that occurs on the face and head, and not elsewhere on the body, and its plural is shijāj.

And there was wounding between them, meaning some of them wounded others.
The shajj: is the breaking of the head.
The shajj is specifically on the head in origin, which is that you strike it with something and wound it and split it, then it was used for other limbs.
And wine is mixed with water.
The wild asses are struck by it, and they fall... like the bucket, the rope released it.
And he mixed the wine with water, he mixes it and he mixes it, a mixing: he mixed it.

And the ship pierced the sea: it rent and split it, and likewise the swimmer.

In the belly of a whale, there are in it in the sea piercings.
The crooked one traverses with me every desert, ... as if it has a pursuer, by prohibition, that tries to overtake it.

So-and-so wounds with one hand and heals with another, meaning he spoils one time and corrects one time.
And the shajaj and the shijāj: is the air.
And it was said: the shajaj is a star.
