لا يقال يدجون حتى يكونوا جماعة، ولا يقال ذلك للواحد، وهم الداجة
It is not said 'they walk slowly' unless they are a group, and it is not said for one person, and they are the 'dajah'.
ذاك منزل الداج فلا تنزله
That is the dwelling place of the accompanying group, so do not descend there.
الحاج: الذين يحجون، والداج: الذين معهم من الأجراء والمكارين والأعوان ونحوهم، لأنهم يدجون على الأرض أي يدبون ويسعون في السفر
The pilgrims: those who perform Hajj, and the accompanying group: those with them from hired laborers, camel drivers, and helpers and the like, because they creep on the ground, meaning they walk and strive in travel.
هؤلاء الداج وليسوا بالحاج

هم الذين يكونون مع الحاج مثل الأجراء والجمالين والخدم وما أشبههم؛ وقيل: إنما قيل لهم داج لأنهم يدجون على الأرض
They are those who are with the pilgrims, such as hired laborers, camel drivers, and servants and the like; and it was said: they are called 'daj' because they creep on the ground.
هؤلاء لا حج لهم، وليس عندهم شيء إلا أنهم يسيرون ويدجون، ولا حج لهم
These have no pilgrimage, and they have nothing except that they travel and creep, and they have no pilgrimage.
الداج التباع والجمالون، والحاج أصحاب النيات، والزاج المراؤون
The 'daj' are the followers and camel drivers, the pilgrims are those with sincere intentions, and the 'zaj' are the show-offs.
