وَفِي حَدِيثِ الحَجَّاجِ فِي صِفَةِ الغَيْثِ: فَلَبَّدَتِ الدَّمَاثَ أَيْ صَيَّرَتْهَا لَا تَسُوخُ فِيهَا الأَرْجُلُ، وَهِيَ جَمْعُ دَمِثٍ.

وَفِي حَدِيثِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ: إِذَا قَرَأْتَ آلَ حِمٍ، وَقَعْتَ فِي رَوْضَاتٍ دَمِثَاتٍ ، جَمْعُ دَمِثَةٍ.
And in the narration of Ibn Mas'ud: When you recite 'Ha Mim', you will fall into soft meadows, the plural of 'damitha'.
وَدَمَثَ الشَّيْءَ إِذَا مَرَسَهُ حَتَّى يَلِينَ.

And an Arab proverb: Prepare your resting place before nightfall, meaning take its provisions, get ready for it, and proceed with it before it happens.
وَيُقَالُ: دَمِّثْ لِي ذَلِكَ الحَدِيثَ حَتَّى أَطْعَنَ فِي حَوْصِهِ؛ أَيْ اذْكُرْ لِي أَوَّلَهُ، حَتَّى أَعْرِفَ وَجْهَهُ.
And it is said: Explain that story to me so I can delve into its details; meaning mention its beginning to me, so I can understand its aspect.
وَالأَدْمُوثُ: مَكَانُ المَلَّةِ إِذَا خُبِزَتْ.
And 'al-admooth': the place of the 'malla' (a type of bread) when it is baked.
