And a 'amytah of hair is like a 'falilah of hair.
ويقال: عميتة من وبر أو صوف، كما يقال: سبيخة من قطن، وسليلة من شعر
And it is said: 'amytah of hair or wool, as it is said: 'sabikhah of cotton, and 'salilah of hair.
وقوله أنشده ابن الأعرابي: وقطعا من وبر عميتا
And his saying, which Ibn al-A'rabi recited: And pieces of twisted hair.
يجوز أن يكون عميتا حالا من وبر، وأن يكون جمع عميتة، فيكون نعتا لقطع
It is permissible for 'umiyta to be an adjective of hair, and for it to be a plural of 'amytah, thus being an adjective for 'pieces'.
