الجوهري: الحلتيت صمغ الأنجذان؛
Al-Jawhari: Al-Hiltit is the resin of Angdhan;
قال: ولا تقل: حلثيت، بالثاء؛ وربما قالوا: حليت، بتشديد اللام.

الأزهري: الحلتيت الأنجرذ؛

حلأت الصوف عن الشاة حلأ، وحلته حلتا، وهي الحلاتة، والحلاءة: النتافة.

وحلت فلانا: أعطيته.
