I nasabtu al-rajula ansibuhu, with dammah, nisbatan wa nasaban if you mention his lineage, and intasaba ila abeehi means he claimed affiliation with his father.

وفي الخبر: أنها نسبتنا، فانتسبنا لها

And in the narration: 'She is our relative, so we affiliated ourselves with her'.

وناسبه: شركه في نسبه.

And nasabahu: to share his lineage with him.

والنسيب: المناسب، والجمع نسباء وأنسباء؛ وفلان يناسب فلانا، فهو نسيبه أي قريبه.

And in the hadith of Abu Bakr, may Allah be pleased with him: 'And he was a man of great genealogical knowledge'; al-nassabah: the eloquent one knowledgeable about lineages.

وتقول: ليس بينهما مناسبة أي مشاكلة.

And you say: 'Laysa baynahuma munāsabah', meaning 'there is no resemblance between them'.

And nasaba bil-nisaa', yansibu, wa yansibu nasaban wa naseeban, wa munāsabah: to compose love poetry about them and to express romantic feelings, and this poetry is 'ansab' than this, meaning it has a more tender 'nasib' (love poem); and it is as if they said: 'nasib nasib', for exaggeration, and this was derived from it.

وقال شمر: النسيب رقيق الشعر في النساء؛ وأنشد: هل في التعلل من أسماء من حوب، ... أم في القريض وإهداء المناسيب؟

And Shamir said: 'Al-nasib is tender poetry about women'; and he recited: 'Is there any fault in seeking solace from Asma'... or in poetry and sending love poems?'

وأنسبت الريح: اشتدت، واستافت التراب والحصى.

And ansabat al-reeh: the wind intensified, and it blew dust and pebbles.

والنيسب والنيسبان: الطريق المستقيم الواضح؛ وقيل: هو الطريق المستدق، كطريق النمل والحية، وطريق حمر الوحش إلى مواردها؛ وأنشد الفراء لدكين: عينا، ترى الناس إليه نيسبا، ... من صادر أو وارد، أيدي سبا

And al-naysab and al-naysaban: the straight, clear path; and it is said: it is the narrow path, like the path of ants and snakes, and the path of wild asses to their watering holes; and Al-Farra recited for Dukayn: 'An eye that sees people going to it like a path, coming and going, from Saba'.

وقال دكين بن رجاء الفقيمي: عينا ترى الناس إليها نيسبا

And Dukayn bin Raja' al-Faqimi said: 'An eye that sees people going to it like a path'.

وقيل: النيسب ما وجد من أثر الطريق.

And it is said: Al-naysab is what is found of the trace of a path.

والنيسب طريق النمل إذا جاء منها واحد في إثر آخر.

And al-naysab is the path of ants when one follows another.

وفي النوادر: نيسب فلان بين فلان وفلان نيسبة إذا أدبر وأقبل بينهما بالنميمة وغيرها.

And in Al-Nawadir: 'Fulān naysaba bayna fulān wa fulān naysabah' if he went back and forth between them with gossip and other things.

ونسيب: اسم رجل عن ابن الأعرابي وحده.

And Nasib: the name of a man, according to Ibn al-A'rabi alone.
