واعتكب المكان: ثار فيه العكوب.
And he stirred up the place: dust rose in it.
والعاكب من الإبل: الكثيرة؛ وللإبل عكوب على الحوض أي ازدحام.

واعتكبت الإبل: اجتمعت في موضع، فأثارت الغبار فيه؛ قال:
And the camels gathered: they assembled in a place, and stirred up dust in it; he said:
إني، إذا بل النفي غاربي، ... واعتكبت، أغنيت عنك جانبي
Indeed, when the dust reaches my neck, ... and I have gathered, I have sufficed for you on my side.
