والطحربة الطحربة الفسوة؛ قال: وحاص منا فرقا وطحربا
And the ṭaḥraba is the fart; he said: And he turned away from us in fear and farted.
وما عليه طحرمة، كطحربة أي لطخ من غيم
And he has no ṭaḥrama on him, like a ṭaḥraba, meaning a smear of cloud.
وأصلها طحربة؛ وقال نصيب: سرى في سواد الليل، ينزل خلفه ... مواكف لم يعكف عليهن طحرب
And its origin is ṭaḥraba; and Naṣīb said: He traveled in the blackness of the night, descending behind them... encampments that no one stayed at, [covered in] ṭaḥrab.
قال: والطحرب هاهنا: الغثاء من الجفيف، وواله الأرض
He said: And ṭaḥrab here means: the light debris from dry material, and the dust of the earth.
وطحرب القربة: ملأها
And he ṭaḥraba the waterskin: he filled it.
وطحرب إذا عدا فارا
And he ṭaḥraba when he ran away fleeing.
