And the hunter entered into his blind: he entered; Dhu al-Rummah said: And from the north, from Jallan, a hunter... poorly clothed, hidden of person, concealed.

And al-zarb: the archer's blind; Ru'bah said: In the blind, if he chewed a drink, he would not spit.

والزريبة: مكتن السبع؛ وفي الصحاح: زريبة السبع، بالإضافة إلى السبع: موضعه الذي يكتن فيه.

And al-zaribah: the lion's lair; and in al-Sihah: the lion's pen, in addition to the lion: its place where it hides.

والزرابي: البسط؛ وقيل: كل ما بسط واتكئ عليه؛ وقيل: هي الطنافس؛ وفي الصحاح: النمارق، والواحد من كل ذلك زربية، بفتح الزاي وسكون الراء، عن ابن الأعرابي.

And al-zarabiyy: carpets; and it was said: everything spread out and reclined upon; and it was said: they are cushions; and in al-Sihah: the cushions, and the singular of all of that is zarbiyyah, with a fatha on the zay and sukun on the ra, from Ibn al-A'rabi.

الزجاج في قوله تعالى: وزرابي مبثوثة ؛ الزرابي البسط؛ وقال الفراء: هي الطنافس، لها خمل رقيق.

Al-Zajjaj regarding the Almighty's saying: 'And carpets spread out'; al-zarabiyy are carpets; and Al-Farra' said: they are cushions, having a fine pile.

And the vegetation became 'azrabba' when dryness appeared in it with greenness and yellowness.

وفي حديث أبي هريرة، رضي الله عنه: ويل للعرب من شر قد اقترب، ويل للزربية قيل: وما الزربية؟ قال: الذين يدخلون على الأمراء، فإذا قالوا شرا، أو قالوا شيئا، قالوا: صدق شبههم في تلونهم بواحدة الزرابي، وما كان على صنعتها وألوانها، أو شبههم بالغنم المنسوبة إلى الزرب والزرب، وهو الحظيرة التي تأوي إليها، في أنهم ينقادون للأمراء، ويمضون على مشيتهم انقياد الغنم لراعيها؛

And in the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, may Allah be pleased with him: Woe to the Arabs from an approaching evil, woe to al-zarbiyyah. It was asked: And what is al-zarbiyyah? He said: Those who enter upon rulers, and if they say evil, or say something, they say: 'He has spoken the truth.' He likened them in their changeability to one of the zarabiyy, and what was on its craftsmanship and colors, or likened them to sheep attributed to al-zarb and al-zarb, which is the enclosure they take refuge in, in that they obey the rulers, and proceed in their way like sheep to their shepherd;
