And Darbajard: a country from the lands of Persia, the attribution to it is دراوردي, and it is from irregular attributions.
دربى فلان فلانا إذا ألقاه؛
So-and-so threw so-and-so down if he cast him;
اعلوطا عمرا، ليشبياه ... في كل سوء، ويدربياه يشبياه ويدربياه أي يلقيانه
Hold Amr tightly, so they may cast him down ... in every evil, and they cast him down, meaning they throw him down.
الدرب داء في المعدة.
الدرب is a disease in the stomach.
وهذا عندي غلط، وصوابه الذرب، داء في المعدة، وسيأتي ذكره في كتاب الذال المعجمة.
And this, in my opinion, is an error, and its correction is الذرب, a disease in the stomach, and its mention will come later in the book of the letter Dhal.
