And al-jarab is like rust, shortened; it appears on the inner eyelid, and sometimes covers it entirely, and sometimes covers part of it.
والجرباء: السماء، سميت بذلك لما فيها من الكواكب، وقيل سميت بذلك لموضع المجرة كأنها جربت بالنجوم.

والجربة، بالفتح وتشديد الباء: جماعة الحمر، وقيل: هي الغلاظ الشداد منها.
And al-jaraba, with fatha and shadda on the ba: a group of donkeys, and it is said: they are the thick, strong ones among them.
جربة كحمر الأبك، ... لا ضرع فينا، ولا مذكي
A group like the donkeys of Al-Abakk, ... no weaklings among us, nor young ones.

And al-jaraba: the robust men, who have no ambition, and they are with their mothers;
