ما أتاك بلا مشقة، اسم كالمشتى.

وقد هنئ الطعام وهنؤ يهنأ هناءة: صار هنيئا، مثل فقه وفقه.

وهنئت الطعام أي تهنأت به.

فهنأه ومناه ، أي ذكره المهانئ والأماني، والمراد به ما يعرض للإنسان في صلاته من أحاديث النفس وتسويل الشيطان.
So it reminded him of his desires and wishes, meaning it reminded him of the pleasures and wishes, and what is meant is what occurs to a person in his prayer of self-talk and Satan's temptations.
لك المهنأ وعليه الوزر أي يكون أكلك له هنيئا لا تؤاخذ به ووزره على من كسبه.
You have the benefit and the sin is upon him, meaning your eating of it is hani', you are not held accountable for it, and its sin is upon the one who earned it.
لهم المهنأ وعليهم الوزر.
They have the benefit and the sin is upon them.
وهنأتنيه العافية وقد تهنأته وهنئت الطعام، بالكسر، أي تهنأت به.

لات هنا ذكرى جبيرة، أم من ... جاء منها بطائف الأهوال

يقول: ليس الأمر حيث ذهبت إنما قلبك متيح في غير ضيعة.

أي ليس ذا موضع ذلك ولا حينه، والقصيدة مجرورة لما أجراها جعل هاء الوقفة تاء، وكانت في الأصل هنه بالهاء، كما يقال أنا وأنه، والهاء تصير تاء في الوصل.
Meaning, this is not the place or time for that, and the poem is in the genitive case because he made the final ha' a ta', and it was originally 'hanah' with a ha', just as one says 'ana' and 'anah', and the ha' becomes a ta' in connection.
فأما ما حكاه أبو عبيد من قول المتمثل من العرب: حنت ولات هنت وأنى لك مقروع، فأصله الهمز، ولكن المثل يجري مجرى الشعر، فلما احتاج إلى المتابعة أزوجها حنت.
As for what Abu Ubaid narrated from the saying of an Arab who represented himself: 'She longed, and it is not the time, and how could you be struck?', its origin is hamza, but the proverb runs like poetry, and when he needed to follow it, he paired it with 'hanat'.
وطعام هنيء: سائغ، وما كان هنيئا، ولقد هنؤ هناءة وهنأة وهنأ، على مثال فعالة وفعلة وفعل.
And hani' food: palatable, and what was hani', and indeed it became hani'a, han'ah, and hana, on the pattern of fa'alah, fa'lah, and fa'al.
والتهنئة: خلاف التعزية.

وفي المثل: تهنأ فلان بكذا وتمرأ وتغبط وتسمن وتخيل وتزين، بمعنى واحد.
And in the proverb: So-and-so experienced such-and-such with ease, and found it agreeable, and was envied, and grew fat, and was adorned, all with one meaning.
خير الناس قرني ثم الذين يلونهم ثم يجيء قوم يتسمنون.
The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them, then a people will come who grow fat.
معناه: يتعظمون ويتشرفون ويتجملون بكثرة المال، فيجمعونه ولا ينفقونه.
Its meaning: they become arrogant, honored, and adorned with abundant wealth, gathering it and not spending it.
يقال في الدعاء للرجل هنئت ولا تنكه أي أصبت خيرا ولا أصابك الضر، تدعو له.
It is said in a prayer for a man: 'Hani'ta, and may no harm befall you,' meaning you have attained good and no harm has befallen you, praying for him.
قال سيبويه: قالوا هنيئا مريئا، وهي من الصفات التي أجريت مجرى المصادر المدعو بها في نصبها على الفعل غير المستعمل إظهاره، واختزاله لدلالته عليه، وانتصابه على فعل من غير لفظه، كأنه ثبت له ما ذكر له هنيئا.
Sibawayh said: They said 'hani'an mari'an', and it is among the adjectives that are treated like verbal nouns invoked in their accusative case as an unexpressed verb, and its omission due to its indication, and its accusative case as a verb not of its own form, as if what was mentioned for him was established for him as hani'.
أظفره الله فليهنئ له الظفر
May Allah grant him victory, so let the victory be joyous for him.
يقال هنأه ذلك وهنأ له ذلك، كما يقال هنيئا له، وأنشد بيت الأخطل.
It is said: 'Hana'ahu dhalika' and 'Hana lahu dhalika', just as one says 'Hani'an lahu', and he cited the verse of Al-Akhtal.
وهنأ الرجل هنأ: أطعمه.

وهنأه يهنؤه ويهنئه هنأ، وأهنأه: أعطاه، الأخيرة عن ابن الأعرابي.

لا أرى لك هانئا.

إنما سميت هانئا لتهنأ أي لتعول وتكفي، يضرب لمن عرف بالإحسان، فيقال له: أجر على عادتك ولا تقطعها.
He was only named Hani' to be supported, meaning to support and suffice, used for one known for kindness, and it is said to him: Continue your habit and do not cut it off.
هنأك الله ومرأك وقد هنأني ومرأني، بغير ألف، إذا أتبعوها هنأني، فإذا أفردوها قالوا أمرأني.
May Allah make it easy for you and agreeable for you, and it was easy for me and agreeable for me, without an alif, if they followed it with 'hani'ani', but if they isolated it, they said 'amra'ani'.
منها الهنيء، وسائح في قرقرى
Among them is al-Hani', and a flowing stream in Qarqara.
نحسن الهنء، إذا استهنأتنا، ... ودفاعا عنك بالأيدي الكبار
We are good at giving, when you ask us for a gift, ... and defending you with great hands.
من الحق، إلا ما استهانوك نائلا
Of the right, except what they allowed you to take as a gift.
استهنأ فلان بني فلان فلم يهنؤوه أي سألهم، فلم يعطوه.
So-and-so asked the sons of so-and-so for a gift, and they did not give it to him, meaning he asked them, and they did not give it to him.
ومستهنئ، زيد أبوه، فلم أجد ... له مدفعا، فاقني حياءك واصبري

وهنئت الماشية هنأ وهنأ: أصابت حظا من البقل من غير أن تشبع منه.

وأكلنا من هذا الطعام حتى هنئنا منه أي شبعنا.
