وكان بالأرض مرعى أو زرع، فهاجت به دواب، فألمأته أي تركته صعيدا ليس به شيء.
And there was pasture or crops on the land, and animals stirred it up, and it left it devastated, with nothing on it.
فهاجت به الرياح، فألمأته أي تركته صعيدا.
And the winds stirred it up, and it left it devastated.
وما أدري أين ألمأ من بلاد الله أي ذهب.

ما يلمأ فمه بكلمة وما يجأى فمه بكلمة، بمعناه.

واللمء واللمح: سرعة إبصار الشيء.
