Abu Al-Haytham said: It is said: you لفأت a man when you diminish his right and give him less than the full amount.
يقال: رضي من الوفاء باللفاء.
It is said: he was satisfied with deficiency instead of completeness.
ولفأه حقه إذا أعطاه أقل من حقه.
And he gave him less than his due when he gave him less than his right.
