بينهم الملتبئة أي هم متفاوضون لا يكتم بعضهم بعضا.

يقال: بنو فلان لا يلتبئون فتاهم، ولا يتعيرون شيخهم.
It is said: The sons of so-and-so do not marry off their young men, nor do they marry off their old men.
المعنى: لا يزوجون الغلام صغيرا ولا الشيخ كبيرا طلبا للنسل.
The meaning: they do not marry off a boy when he is young nor an old man when he is old, seeking offspring.
واللبؤة: الأنثى من الأسود، والجمع لبؤ، واللبأة واللباة كاللبؤة.
And the lioness: the female of lions, and the plural is 'lubu', and 'al-laba'ah' and 'al-labaah' are like 'al-labu'ah'.
فإن كان مخففا منه، فجمعه كجمعه، وإن كان لغة، فجمعه لبآت.
If it is a lightened form of it, its plural is like its plural, and if it is a variant, its plural is 'laba'aat'.
واللبوة، ساكنة الباء غير مهموزة لغة فيها.
And 'al-labwah', with a silent 'b' and un-hamzated, is a variant pronunciation.
واللبؤ الأسد، قال: وقد أميت، أعني أنهم قل استعمالهم إياه ألبتة.
