And I met him suddenly, they placed it in the position of the مصدر and Tha'lab used it with the definite article and confirmed it, saying: If you say 'I went out' and then 'Zayd is there', this is al-faja'ah, and it is not known if it is from the speech of the Arabs or from his own speech.
والفجاءة: ما فاجأك
And al-faja'ah: that which surprises you.
وموت الفجاءة: ما يفجأ الإنسان من ذلك
And sudden death: that which surprises a person of that.
وورد في الحديث في غير موضع، وقيده بعضهم بفتح الفاء وسكون الجيم من غير مد على المرة
And it was mentioned in the Hadith in more than one place, and some of them restricted it to a fatha on the fa and a sukun on the jim without elongation, referring to a single instance.
