وإذا اشتريت الخمر لتحملها إلى بلد آخر قلت: سبيتها، بلا همز.

And if you bought wine to carry it to another country, you would say: 'sabaytuha', without hamza.

أنه دعا بالجفان فسبأ الشراب فيها.

That he called for large bowls and gathered the drink in them.

وسبأت الرجل سبأ جلدته.

And I whipped the man, 'sab'an', I flogged him.

وانسبأ جلده إذا تقشر.

وإنك لتريد سبأة أي تريد سفرا بعيدا يغيرك.
