وقيل: هو الدهن بالماء من قولهم رطأت القوم إذا ركبتهم بما لا يحبون لأن الماء يعلوه الدهن.
And it was said: it is anointing with water, from their saying 'raṭaʼa the people' if you impose upon them what they dislike, because water overtakes the oil.
