As for Ibn Hani, he said: al-jarī'ah is hamzated, according to Abu Zayd, and al-jarī'ah, like khaṭī'ah: a house built of stones and a stone is placed at its door which is above the door, and they place the flesh of a lion in the back of the house, so when the lion enters and takes the flesh, the stone falls on the door and blocks it, and its plural is jarā'i', thus narrated Abu Zayd, he said: and this is from the rejected principles among the grammarians except in rare cases.
