زهو

Root entry · 1 derived lemma

4 أَزْهَوَ see 1, in four places, in the first three sentences: ― -b2- and again, in one place, in the last quarter of the same paragraph. -A2- مَا أَزْهَاهُ [meaning How proud, vain, boastful, or selfconceited, is he! ] is from زَهَا as syn. with زُهِىَ; not from the latter of these two verbs, because the verb of wonder is not formed from a verb of which the agent is not named.
