زند

1 زَنَدَ النَّارَ ذ , aor. زَنِدَ , He produced fire [ with a زَنْد and زَنْدَة]. (A, TA.) ― -b2- [Hence,] زَنَدُوا نَارَ الحَرْبِ (assumed tropical:) [ They kindled the fire of war ].
