زجر

مَزْجَرٌ ذ [ A place of زَجْر, i. e. chiding, &c.]. ― -b2- [Hence,] هُوَ مِنِّى مَزْجَرَ الكَلْبِ, an elliptical phrase, meaning (tropical:) [ He is, in relation to me, or مِنِّى is here used in the sense of عِنْدِى, i. e., in my estimation, ] as though he were in the مزجر of the dog; (Sb, TA;) [i. e., as though he were to be chidden like the dog, and driven away; ] said by Z to be tropical. (TA.)
