خندق

خَنْدَقٌ خندق A fosse, or moat, [ such as is ] dug around the walls of cities: arabicized, from كَنْدَهْ, (IDrd, K,) which is Persian: (IDrd:) pl. خَنَادِقُ. (TA.) ― -b2- And A valley. (TA.)
