You say, مَسَسْتُهُ بِيَدِى وَهْىَ بَارِدَةٌ فَتَخَامَصَ مِنْ بَرْدِ يَدِى (tropical:) [ I touched him with my hand, it being cold, and he shrank from the coldness of my hand ]. (A, TA.) ― -b2- تَخَامَصْ لِفُلَانٍ عَنْ حَقِّهِ (tropical:) [ Relinquish thou, i. e.,] give thou, to such a one, his right, or due. (A, K. *) ― -b3- تخامص اللَّيْلُ (tropical:) [ The night retreated; ] the darkness of the night became thin a little before daybreak. (A, K.)
