خلع

(K.) [See 8: and see also خُلْعٌ.] You say, وَقَعَتْ بَيْنَهُمَا الخُلْعَةُ [ Divorcement, or] separation, [ for a ransom, &c. or] for [ a gift, or] a compensation, took place between them two. (TK.) -A2- (assumed tropical:) The best, or choice part, of property, or of camels or the like; (Aboo-Sa'eed, S Sgh, K;) so called because it takes away the heart of him who looks at it; (Aboo-Sa'eed;) as also ↓ خِلْعَةٌ. (Aboo-Sa'eed, Sgh, K.) -A3- (assumed tropical:) Weakness in a man. (TA.)
