خصر

أَخْصَرُ ذ [ Shorter: and shortest ]. You say, هٰذَا أَخْصَرُ مِنْ ذَاكَ This [road] is shorter than that. (A.) But this is irregular; أَخْصَرُ being formed from اُخْتُصِرَ, a verb of more than three letters. (I' Ak p. 237.)
