Root entry · 1 derived lemmaخَزَفٌ خزف Pottery; jars; or earthern vessels; syn. جَرٌّ; (Lth, S, K; [and so in the present day;]) and anything made of clay, and baked, so that it becomes فَخَّار: (IDrd, K:) or clay made into vessels, before it is baked; i. q. صَلْصَالٌ: when baked, it is called فَخَّار.
