The pl. occurs in a verse of Lebeed, commencing بِأَخِرَّةِ الثَّلَبُوتِ, as Khalaf El-Ahmar heard the Arabs recite it: so says A'Obeyd: (S:) but the common reading is بِأَحِزَّة, with ح and ز. (TA.)
