6 تَخَاْذَفَ [تَخَاذَفَا app. signifies They vied with each other in throwing in the manner described in the first sentence above. ― -b2- And hence,] عَيْنَاهُ تَخَاذَفَتَا بِالدَّمْعِ (tropical:) i. q. اسرتا [app. a mistranscription for أَجْرَتَاهُ, i. e. His eyes shed tears ]: so in the A. (TA.)
