خِدَاجٌ خداج inf. n. of 1 in the first of the senses explained above; (S, K; *) or a simple subst. therefrom; (Msb;) or a subst. from 4 in the first of the senses explained above. (Mgh.) See also مِخْدَاجٌ. ― -b2- And hence, (Msb,) (tropical:) Defect, or deficiency. (As, A, Mgh, Msb, TA.) ― -b3- صَلَاةٌ خِدَاجٌ, (S, A, Mgh, K,) in which the latter word is an inf. n. used as an epithet, (A,) or for ذَاتُ خِدَاجٍ, (Mgh, TA,) (tropical:) Prayer incompletely performed; (S, A, Mgh, K;) as also ↓ مُخْدَجَةٌ and ↓ خَادِجَةٌ: (A:) applied in a trad. to prayer in which the Fátihah is not recited. (S, Mgh, TA.) And ↓ حَجٌّ اـِخْدَاجٌ, in which [likewise] the latter word is for ذُو اـِخْدَاجٍ, or is an inf. n. used as an epithet, (assumed tropical:) Pilgrimage incompletely performed.
