خَوْتَلٌ خوتل Elegant; polite; acute, or sharp, or quick, in intellect; clever, ingenious, skilful, knowing, or intelligent: (K, * TA:) thought by ISd to be, perhaps, from الخَتْلُ signifying “the act of deceiving” &c. (TA.)
