وعد

مَوْعِدٌ ذ signifies A covenant, or compact. So, accord. to Mujáhid, in ch. xx. vv. 89 and 90, of the Kur-án. (L.) ― -b2- مَوْعِدٌ and مَوْعِدَةٌ: see 1, and وَعْدٌ. ― -b3- See also مِيعَادٌ.
