وعد

عِدِىٌّ ذ Of, or relating or belonging to, a promise: rel. n. of عِدَةٌ, like زِنِىٌّ of زِنَةٌ, formed without restoring the و like as it is restored in [the rel. n. of] شِيَةٌ: [see art. شيو:] but Fr says عِدَوِىٌّ and زِنَوِىٌّ, like شِيَوِىٌّ. (S, L.)
