R. Q. 1 وَأْوَأَ ذ , inf. n. وَأْوَأَهٌ, He (a dog) barked. (A.) ― -b2- Also inf. n. وَأْوَاآءٌ ([respecting the form of which see ظَأْظَأَ] in the CK and a MS. copy, وَأْوَأٌ) He (a jackal, اِبْنُ اآوَى,) cried, or barked. (K.) ― -b3- [See also وَعْوَعَ.]
