ثوء
Root entry · 1 derived lemmaثَاآءٌ ثاآء The name of the letter ث, q. v.; as also ثَا: pl. [of the former,] ثَاآءَاتٌ; and [of the latter,] أَثْوَاآءٌ and أَثْيَاآءٌ. (TA in باب الالف الليّنة.) -A2- It also stands for ثَنَاآءٌ, and ثَوَابٌ, and the like. (Idem ubi suprà.) -A3- Also The best of anything; as, for instance, of wheat, and of flesh-meat, and of sugar. (Kh, TA ubi suprà.)
